New Circular Economy Business Model for More Sustainable Urban Construction

SUPERLOCAL by Dusseldorp

The ambition of the circular area development SUPERLOCAL is to reuse the materials of two vacant high-rise for the construction of approximately 130 new homes and the layout of the public area. A cooperation between multiple stakeholders made it possible to extract a complete concrete construction out of a building that would otherwise be demolished. The construction has been settled in the surrounding area and is applied for new housingspaces. The creation of this concept led to a longer lifespan of existing materials and a reduction in raw material use.
