Sustainable (re)construction ROVA building
WAM&VanDuren has a strong focus on sustainability, circular building and energy transition. With these topics in mind, WAM&VanDuren, commissioned by ROVA Winterswijk, realized the renovation & new construction of the current building on the Leeghwaterweg in Winterswijk.
Reusing materials is the way to remedy scarcity of raw materials. Where possible, reused materials were chosen, such as the built-up walls and partitions. A partition wall was made entirely of "waste wood" from WAM&VanDuren's workshop. The exterior wall was built with sustainable bricks made from the rubble of demolished buildings.
