Fundacion Gomez Pardo

The Gomez Pardo Foundation is a private, non-lucrative company founded in 1875, with the aim of establishing laboratories, awards and grants, promoting technical progress and research and providing social and cultural assistance, especially to Mine School students.
Nowadays it is intended for education, technical research and cultural activities. Among the aims of the institution, it emphasizes promoting technical progress, promote research and assist in training and professional development of mine school students and, in general, technicians and professionals dedicated to the mentioned sectors. It is linked to the Technical School of Mines of Madrid, which belongs to the Madrid Polytechnic University.
The Foundation currently manages their research laboratories placed on the Science and Technology Center of the Madrid Polytechnic University, in Getafe (Madrid, Spain)
The labs form a technological research facility provided with equipment and instrumental techniques of last generation.
